Gw dah punya REALbasic 2008 Release 2….wuihh…qrennn

Painless Deployment
REALbasic compiles applications that are easy to deploy.
Windows:Unlike most other Windows development tools, REALbasic generates executables which are not dependent on pre-installed dlls or pre-installed frameworks. For some applications, REALbasic will create a single, self-contained executable. But for most applications, it creates a single folder that contains the executable and any libraries it depends on. This single folder produced by the REALbasic compiler is all you need to distribute to you customers. By eliminating external, system-installed dependancies REALbasic puts an end to expensive support calls caused by missing files.
Mac: REALbasic compiles native Mach-O applications in Apple’s Universal Binary format.
Linux: REALbasic compiles native Linux applications that run on most modern Linux distributions.

Interesting post from Philip Regan’s blog
My programming language can beat up your programming language (and here’s why)!
An old discussion on the REALbasic boards was bumped back to the top by a (relatively) new member of the boards, and it got me seriously thinking about the “My programming language can beat up your programming language (and here’s why).” debate. To spare you the hassle of having to read it, the original poster posted some code that when translated line for line from REALbasic to Visual Basic runs significantly faster, and much debate ensued about the relative merits between the two with the bumping user concluding (very incorrectly) that REALbasic is, for all intents and purposes, useless relative to Visual Basic.
